As in past years, CTM presents work that challenges the boundaries and affordances of various media. 

Sound and performance artists Nguyễn + Transitory present work-in-progress Bird Bird, Touch Touch, Sing Sing, an immersive site-specific performance initially developed at HAU Hebbel Am Ufer within “Residenzen Berlin – Detroit – Berlin” during the HAU-Festival “Detroit – Berlin: One Circle”. Together they explore Southeast Asian and diasporic queer histories; and (de)colonial approaches to sound, synthesis, noise, and rhythm. 

Versatile producer Dasha Rush, actor and dancer Valentin Tszin, and visual artist Stanislav Glazov present Les Territoires Éphémères, an audiovisual piece that explores inconsistencies in memory and perception across generative imagery, movement, and abstract poetry. 

Nguyễn + Transitory appear as part of Nusasonic, an initiative of Goethe-Institut Southeast Asia that is collaboratively curated by Yes No Wave (Yogyakarta), WSK Festival of the Recently Possible (Manila), Playfreely/Black Kaji (Singapore), and CTM Festival (Berlin).
