Sarah Farina

Sarah Farina is known for sprinkling positivity and joy over the darkest bassy sounds. An innovative, skillful DJ, she’s the smiling antithesis of genre cliques and scene elitists. Her sets blend bass-heavy footwork and futuristic rhythms over fearless forays through R&B and UK funky.

Hailing from Bavaria, Farina got her first taste of music after being introduced to J Dilla, Madlib, and seminal artists from Detroit at an early age. Since, Farina has become an active part of various music communities, as well as a driving force behind the formation of Friedrichshain-based musical family Through My Speakers. TMS TMS is a collective, record label, and family, helping bring lesser-known producers to progressive club nights and beyond.

Alongside DJs Uta and Kepler, Farina is also part of the crew behind Rec Room, a regular bass-oriented night at Berlin’s OHM. She also worked with DBridge and Kabuki on Watergate’s New Forms, and flaunts her ability to bring people together on the dancefloor. With three acclaimed Boiler Room sets behind her, Farina boasts a style of mixing that’s equally impressive to industry insiders and those who just want to dance.

She has termed her inclusive, forward-thinking, and unrestrained style of mixing “rainbowbass,” and is working on an EP that explores the style further.
