SatCTM 2019 is pleased host the inaugural edition of Floorgasm–a queer-centric party focusing on unyielding sounds–initiated by queer club icon LSDXOXO.
The night will feature Juliana Huxtable, Wallis, and Pangaea. LSDXOXO is the House of Vogue ambassador known for 2016 mixtape Fuck Marry Kill (released via the influential GHE20G0TH1K), as well as 2018’s Baltimore club-tinted Body Mods. Polymath Juliana Huxtable is a DJ, producer, writer, poet, and artist, responsible for organising NYC’s SHOCK VALUE night, and for authoring Mucus in My Pineal Gland. Berlin-based producer Wallis crafts crunching, caustic techno. Hessle Audio's Pangaea is known for confounding, ecstatic dancefloor rhythms, as heard on the celebrated In Drum Play.
Using an array of synthesizers, effects units, and experimental studio techniques, Wallis produces confrontational and urgent techno that shifts constantly between different patterns and atmospheres. Based in Berlin, Wallis DJs regularly but also crafts original productions.
Hessle Audio’s Pangaea is known for adventurous blends of bass music, techno, and other UK club sounds. With a number of fiery singles behind him, as well as an acclaimed LP, Pangaea’s reputation is formidable.
LSDXOXO is the DJ and producer who has cemented his reputation as a contemporary queer club icon. He is known for nimble, high-octane DJ sets, in addition to releases such as the “Deliciously [o]ff-[k]ilter” (The Fader) Fuck Marry Kill and fiery BODY MODS.
Artist, DJ, writer, and performer Juliana Huxtable is one of the most singular voices in the contemporary art world, drawing inspiration from the white cube as much as the dancefloor to explore complex socio-political issues, and using her body to pose questions to historical structures.
