The hybrid lab/DIYbio/art practice appears as the cultural answer to science, a privileged critique of ethics and generator of new concepts. Aside from having these societal functions, what kind of relations come into view when "the practice" is considered as "multi-species labour" and "adaptation" an enactment of various layers of biopolitics?

This talk will examine some of my recent work with plants through ethics, power, convenience, and necessity, arriving to the concept of the vegetariat, which in a curious way blurs the line between green and white-coat work.
