Workshop with Craig Schuftan

Good conversations about music are not always easy to come by. How can we describe sounds in a meaningful way, share criticism without getting personal, and meet and learn from our musical heroes without embarrassing ourselves? This is a skill you can learn and practice, and its fundamental principle is one that music-makers ought to be very familiar with: listening.

In this workshop, hosted by author and broadcaster Craig Schuftan, we'll learn more about the history and art of conversation, exchange ideas on how to deal with specific situations, and try out some techniques for improving music conversation in practical talk experiments. Everyone's welcome and no previous experience is required – just bring yourself. Maximum 20 people, first come first served.

Presented in collaboration with Ableton.
