Duo Ganzfeld (trumpet player and sound artist Liz Allbee and guitarist and instrument builder Sukandar Kartadinata) will present several guerilla audio spatialization interventions, first with a sneak peak at the CTM 2017 Exhibition Opening, and then at surprise times and locations throughout the rest of the festival.
If you wish to be updated on when and where the guerilla events will take place, send an email to ganzfeld@. ctm-festival.de
Their interventions will feature hacked multi-channel trumpet and bass guitar, as Allbee and Kartadinata radiate these instrumental voices into space through the use of their homemade dispersive audio system, which consists of wireless, luminescent adhesive transducer speakers with built-in multi-channel radio receivers. The interventions aim to activate the unique resonant surfaces of different makeshift performance spaces: windows, doors, stairs, walls, chairs, vans, buses, boxes, insides, outsides, ups and downs, creating a full-field, immersive and musically moving sonic environment.
These guerilla events will be publicized via last-minute, day-of flash announcements on CTM social media channels – stay tuned!
Ganzfeld appear at CTM with support from the European Network for Audiovisual Creation (ENCAC), co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
