WedCTM Festival teams up with Boiler Room Berlin again this Wednesday to present formidable figures of German experimental music. Boiler Room is an underground dance music show broadcasting parties and performances live to thousands of international viewers.
The lineup features Jan St. Werner and Andi Toma as Mouse on Mars, a duo from Germany who have been making electronic music since 1993. Founding member of Ton Steine Scherben Wolfgang Seidel performs the music of now-deceased founding member of Cluster and member of Tangerine Dream, Conrad Schnitzler.
These Hidden Hands is the ongoing collaboration between Tommy Four Seven and Alain. The duo released their self-titled debut album in August 2013 on their newly-minted creative platform, Hidden Hundred. They are joined by the dark, experimental techno of Russian born, Berlin based DJ and producer Dasha Rush, and Janus resident Lotic.
These Hidden Hands and Lotic perform as part of CTM Festival's Berlin Current initiative, presenting experimental music from young Berlin-based artists in collaboration with Boiler Room Berlin, Berghain, De:Bug, and BLN.fm, with support from Musicboard Berlin.
All Boiler Room events are invite-only, but listeners are invited to tune in for the live stream starting at 18h GMT. Individual sets will be available in the Boiler Room archive following the event.
Berlin Current is a collaborative initiative from CTM Festival, Berghain, Boiler Room Berlin, BLN.FM, De-Bug, and ICAS. Sponsored by the Musicboard Berlin.
