Chilean producer and DJ Valesuchi taps into melancholy, joy, and saudade—a Portuguese term for the love that remains after someone has gone. Her dark, smoky dancefloor detonators brim with love, desire, machines, and danger, dreaming of raw club music indebted to rhythm.
Her debut album, TRAGICOMIC, recently emerged via Mamba Rec, the label of famed São Paulo party Mamba Negra. Previous production ventures have been released via Matias Aguayo’s Cómeme, with whom Valesuchi shares a pan-tropical, proto-disco, futuristic vision, and Chilean net label Discos Pegaos.
Recently, she contributed to Despertar: Chile, a 51-track compilation featuring the likes of Badsista, Alessandro Adriani, and others, and raising funds for human rights organisations supporting Chileans during this tumultuous political time.
A driving force of underground electronic scenes in Santiago, São Paulo, and Rio de Janeiro, Valesuchi has graced the stages of Sónar Festival, Primavera, Dekmantal São Paulo, Boiler Room, and others.
