160 star Sherelle is a London-based DJ, and central to the UK bass and club scene. After DJing numerous radio shows and curating hybrid club nights, her reputation exploded with an appearance on Boiler Room in 2019.
From a young age, Sherelle has always had an affinity for all things circling around left-field bass, with artists like 4Hero, Machinedrum, and, importantly, DJ Rashad being her entry points into the world of DJing. With a focus on footwork, juke, jungle, and other bassy sounds, she hosts a regular bi-weekly show on Reprezent Radio showcasing club music around the world. Guests have included Novelist, Jessy Lanza, DJ Fulltono, UNIIQU3, and Sinistarr; and her show is regarded by DJ Mag has “a rarity and one that should be protected at all costs.”
Sherelle’s regular NTS slots, residency on BBC Radio 1, and her infamous appearances at Boiler Room led her to winning DJ Mag’s Breakthrough DJ of the year in 2019. For 2020 Sherelle is planning to launch a record label called Hoover Sound with fellow Reprezent DJ Naina, as well as furthering her quest to champion 160 bpm music worldwide.
