Sky H1 is a rising Belgian producer whose lush, vaporous constructions drawing from ambient music and grime are suspended between melancholy and joy. Sky H1 debuted on the Berlin party-turned-label Creamcake in 2015 and signed to Codes (the PAN sublabel co-run by Visionist) in the spring of 2016.
Her Motion EP was described by the label as a highly personal endeavour, with its "vaporous choral synths, ethereal vocals and glassy, lucid tones" making for a tranquil, elegiac listen. The record was widely praised by such outlets as Dazed & Confused, Resident Advisor and Boomkat, who called it one of the year's "most striking entries," and was named Mixmag's Album of the Month despite its brevity.
In the past year, Sky H1 has appeared at notable events throughout Europe, including Sonic Acts in Amsterdam, Red Bull Music Academy's Paris festival, London club Corsica Studios, Bozar Electronic Arts Festival in Brussels and Unsound in Krakow.
Sky H1 is supported by the 2017 SHAPE platform, co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
