Noah Sow

Noah Sow is a German writer, conceptual artist, musician, author, producer, media personality, theorist and activist with a focus on art, critical media analysis, de/constructions of »normalities« as well as counter-racism economics. Her music project, NOISEAUX, has been on the forefront of the European Afro-Punk movement since the mid 2000's.

Sow's book, Deutschland Schwarz Weiß (2008, C. Bertelsmann, Random House), has become a standard in the analysis of and education about structural racism in Germany. In 2001, Noah Sow founded Germany's first Black media watchdog, "der braune mob." She holds lectures, presentations and readings around the world, performs and publishes music on her record label, Jeanne Dark Records, and exhibits conceptual audiovisual artwork.
