Matti Gajek is a Berlin-based animator and musician. He has been applauded for his illustration video work accenting the “Beacon" track release for the prominent Warp Records musician Clark. Gajek’s own mysterious music composition, Restless Shapes, debuted at the end of 2014, on Modeselektor’s Monkeytown Records, after an auspicious introduction to the label by Clark.

Gajek’s Restless Shapes is a concept mini-album with 21 short tracks abstracting between three varying themes. "Curved Engines," "Restless Water Shapes", and "Moving Glasses”, each play into one of the three unspoken rhythmic motifs. The album was picked up for a fortunate October release by Sebastian Szary and Gernot Bronsert of Modeselektor themselves, for their Monkeytown Records label. According to Monkeytown, the music ranges “from post-rocky electronica to complex and moody renderings of intricate introverted beat structures, to mutant dance music.”

Matti Gajek is currently working on a masters degree in the visual arts.
