As Egyptrixx, Toronto-based DJ/producer and Night Slugs affiliate David Psutka combines elements of club music – techno, house, dubstep, pop, and drones, with heavy bass, thick drums, and spectral synths to create his own chrome-plated, industrial strain, described as "dissonant, rapturous, and antisocial" and as "jeep music for a Saturn desert."

Psutka released some the earliest singles on Night Slugs, the UK label headed by Bok Bok and L-Vis 1990. His debut full-length, Bible Eyes, arrived in 2011, followed by a multimedia LP collaboration — A/B til Infinity — with German visual artist ANF in 2013: even more minimal, less dancefloor-oriented. In 2014, he announced the launch of his own label Halocline Trance as a platform for not only music, but also visual and collaborative projects; it will be inaugurated with his third full-length, Transfer of Energy (Feelings of Power), in early 2015.

Psutka also fronts instrumental/noise project Hiawatha together with Thrush Hermit member Ian McGettigan, and has remixed the likes of Brodinski and Massive Attack. His tracks have also appeared on compilations such as Modeselektor's Modeselektion Vol. 2 on Monkeytown and Night Slugs All Stars volumes 1 and 2.
