Laurel Halo, LaTurbo Avedon, Darren Johnston, Mari Matsutoya and Martin Sulzer join forces to examine the multiple realities of 21st Century pop stardom via Hatsune Miku.

CTM’s second Saturday moves over to YAAM. On the main stage, co-curated with Temp Affairs, acts from the UK and North America ranging from mainstream to niche are interspersed with Berlin locals whose work broadens the geographies of hip-hop and world rhythm at large.

After a week of collaboration, imagination and creation, participating Hacklab artists move from the laboratory to the performance venue. Just-created performance designs, circuits, code, and ideas will be put to the test in front of a live audience as a multidisciplinary group of creative performers share the work they've constructed over the course of the CTM festival week.

Together with RBMA, CTM celebrates the close of 10 days with uplifting live performances from Floating Points, Pole & MFO, presenting a new album Wald. Rising Istanbul scene presence Ah! Kosmos also takes the stage with a two-piece band in tow. The event is followed by an afterparty at nearby Watergate.

The afterparty assembles CTM 2016 guest co-curator Rabih Beaini, together with friends from CTM Siberia: Love Cult and HMOT for eclectic and celebratory DJ sets. Nan Kolè, an afficionado of contemporary African dance music and founder of gqom label, as well as DJ HEAR round out the night. Producer, composer and prolific mixer Beatrice Dillon replaces DJ Lakhe.

Ten full days of sounds and perspectives from voices from around the world comes to a close. A big thank you to the artists and participants, and the numerous volunteers, friends and festivalgoers that have joined us for the journey. We'll be publishing numerous lectures from our Discourse series via our soundcloud, and stay tuned for further broadcasts from NTS and RBMA radios, featuring a selection of this year's live acts. The multi-authored exhibition assembles distinct music, sound art and videos created, compiled and commented by 250 artists, musicians, academics and bloggers from 50 countries. Countering pessimistic views that globalisation and digitisation have led to cultural uniformity, they foresee a changing geography of multi-layered modernities, far beyond old ideas of North versus South, West versus East. Additional works by Pedro Reyes, Tianzhuo Chen and Svetlana Maras round-out the exhibition's kaleidoscope of voices.
