Technosphärenklänge #2 Features the World's First Drum Machine

Part of the HKW's ongoing 100 Years of Now project, the second edition of the Technosphärenklänge concert series takes shape as a two day-programme features concerts by Andrey Smirnov, Mark Fell with John Chowning, Marcus Schmickler with Carsten Goertz, and gamut inc, as well as talks and presentations by the artists. An installation by Yuri Suzuki is on show throughout.

SHAPE platform travels to MUTEK 2016

The SHAPE platform, dedicated to emerging European artists, will present a selection of supported artists at the festival, including Peder Mannerfelt, T'ien Lai, Aïsha Devi and Lorenzo Senni. Supported by a network of 18 festivals including CTM, the platform will also host a public information session with several of its organising members.

CTM 2017 Call for Interns: Organisation/Production

CTM is looking for an intern to support its Organization/Production department for the CTM 2017 festival over the period of October 2016 and March 2017. Applications can be sent until 30 June. Due to the fact that the internship requires a strong command of German, this announcementis provided in German only.

Open Call for 6 Audiovisual Residencies

ENCAC (European Network for Contemporary Audiovisual Creation) offers six research and/or production residencies with CTM Festival (Berlin), humainTROPhumain (Montpellier), LABoral (L.E.V Festival, Gijón), Avatar (Quebec) and le lieu unique (Nantes). Taking place over a period of November 2016 to May 2017, the call searches for creative and innovative artistic projects and research within the fields and at the cross-sections of sound, visuals, music, performing arts and digital culture. Artists may apply for more than one preferred residency location until the 15 June deadline.

CTM 2017 Theme and Dates

Half a year after an energising, unforgettable 2017 Festival, we’ve begun to lay the groundwork for the 19th edition – our last ‘teenage’ festival before we celebrate twenty years of creative exchange and collaboration in 2019. We’re very excited to announce that CTM 2018 will take place from 26 January to 4 February 2018 at various Berlin venues. The new theme is TURMOIL.

Call for Works: CTM 2017 Radio Lab

For the fourth year in a row, the CTM 2017 Radio Lab calls for unusual audio projects that couple the radio medium with the potential of live performance or installation while also relating to the CTM 2017 Festival theme: FEAR ANGER LOVE. The two commissioned works will premiere in the form of an installation or live performance at CTM 2017, before being broadcasted in Deutschlandradio Kultur’s Klangkunst programme and by the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation. The deadline is 28. August 2016.
