Lotic will present their debut album Power amongst the immersive walls of MONOM’s 4DSOUND installation at Funkhaus, Berlin. As a physical realisation of the Houston born, Berlin based artist’s spatially inquisitive work, this one-off event will serve as both a manifestation of the album’s microscopic nuances and a celebration of its release that day via Tri-Angle Records.

Power is the soundtrack to a search for empowerment, sourcing various strands of Lotic’s identity and binding them together with references both discreet and uncensored. At the same time, it questions the very definition of the word, reflecting on the varying ways in which empowerment might present itself. The hypnotic rhythmic patterns of Texan marching bands lend support to crystalline melodic airs and frenzied ambient distortions. For the first time, Lotic’s own vocals play a central role, commanding a dialogue within the animated ecosystem of their sonic world, whilst simultaneously addressing the listener directly.

The evening is joined by special guest Shapednoise and co-presented by CTM and MONOM.
