Their regular roster includes a fixed list of twelve musicians brought together according to the requirements of different projects. Their range of projects is wide and has included concerts, musical theatre, workshops, installations, outdoor projects, large-scale performances, and pedagogical approaches.

L´Art pour L´Art frequently collaborates with composers, and their work has led to the development of new techniques in sound and performance. Huber, Mauricio Kagel, Younghi Pagh-Paan, Jô Kondô, Frederic Rzewski, Matthias Spahlinger, Isang Yun, and John Zorn.

Ensemble L´Art pour L´Art has been headquartered in Lower Saxony since 1997.
