Thunderous club sounds are the modus operandi of this techno aggressor. The Malaysian-born Tzusing splits his time between Taipei and Shanghai. He initially broke into the Shanghai techno scene at The Shelter nightclub (an underground hotspot hosting everyone from Kode 9 and The Bug to Drexciya, Dam Funk, and Madlib), where he was a regular at their Stockholm Syndrome parties.
In the last years, Tzusing has risen to prominence with releases on Cititrax and Public Possession, as well as through sets for Boiler Room and Red Bull Music Academy. His DJ sets are frantic mixtures of industrial, tribal, and club beats, while his production work, aggressive in nature, takes its influence from themes of identity and cultural homelessness. He has released a number of singles EP’s on L.I.E.S. and Public Possession and has a forthcoming full-length album arriving on L.I.E.S. in Feb 2017 as well as an EP on Bedouin Records due March of the same year.
