Lady Starlight is an NYC-based performance artist, rock historian and longtime Lady Gaga collaborator who, in addition to DJing classic rock and heavy metal, is now holding her own among techno heavyweights. After moving to New York at the age of 27, Starlight became an influential figure in underground nightlife.
Alongside Lady Gaga, Starlight hosted the weekly New York Street Revival and Trash Dance party, which championed everything from '60s psychedelia to '70s glam rock and British heavy metal. In 2007, the pair premiered 'Lady Gaga and the Starlight Revue,' a sleeper hit that featured Starlight spinning vintage rock records in between Gaga's pop songs. Not long after, Starlight began touring with Gaga as her opening act, helping to design the iconic costumes and sets that characterized Gaga's infamous Monster Ball world tour in 2011.
Having also toured with Judas Priest and Thin Lizzy and performed for Iron Maiden, Starlight had already made her mark on rock and metal circles, but it was Gaga's #ARTRAVE tour in 2014 that introduced her to the electronic music underground. Her all-hardware opening techno set in Birmingham struck a chord with techno veteran Surgeon, who called her "the techno sister that I was separated from at birth.” The pair began collaborating in between UK tour dates, culminating in a blistering modular live set for Gaga's final performance in Paris.
