Hengameh Yaghoobifarah aka kos_mic q'andi is a Berlin-based journalist, blogger, speaker, DJ, and editor for the German feminist publication Missy Magazine. Most of their work evolves around popular culture, fashion, gender and queerness, social media, body politics, post-colonial and post-migrant realities, hybrid identities, visual culture, and the aesthetic of the Other.

As kos_mic q'andi, Hengameh fuses diasporic yearnings with the nostalgia of MTV youth and current queer sounds. They have played at the Wiener Festwochen, in the Wiener brut, at the Theater der Welt Festival, the Cutie.BPoC Fest in Copenhagen and in Berlin's SchwuZ, where they have also curated floors. kos_mic q'andi's mixes have aired on Byte.FM and dokumenta 2017 radio. Their eclectic sounds are often also linked to queer feminist spatial concepts in which places of celebration are always also considered political places.
