Thomas Spier[DE]

Thomas Spier is an architect and photo-designer.

Spier studied architecture as an undergraduate student and trained in media design. He served as a lecturer at the University of the Arts, Berlin between 1992 and 1997, and has published in various architectural magazines and books. His work is represented in the DekaBank collection and at the German Architectural Museum, Frankfurt/Main. In 2010, he was awarded the Fotopries der Architektur at the Venice Biennale for his piece, “Menzione Speciale”. He is currently collaborating with sound artists Chris Salter and Marije Baalman on the large-scale light and sound installation, “n-polytope”.
