Cera Khin[DE]

Tunisian born, Berlin based DJ Cera Khin embodies her adopted city’s changing attitude to club music: the freedom to play whatever you want. Her voracious appetite for exploring new sounds, paired with the founding of Lazy Tapes, has also propelled her work as a producer of experimental and dark sounds.

Cera moved to Berlin in 2013 as soon as she finished her postgraduate studies, setting about soon after to learn how to DJ. She made many important connections to further her explorations, including starting a show in 2016 for Bristol-based Noods Radio that moved between rave and ambient genres. She also founded imprint Lazy Tapes, through which she collaborates with a broad range of producers, from Ossia with 2017's Guided Meditation to Christoph De Babalon and Peder Mannerfelt with 2018's The Screw The Holds The World Together.

Khin has performed at numerous clubs and festivals, including Amsterdam’s Lente Kabinet Festival, Tbilisi’s Khidi club, Yu Yu in Mexico City, Nitsa Club in Barcelona, WWWβ in Tokyo, and Dark Mofo festival in Tasmania. With each DJ set she has remained true to her mantra that now adorns her merchandise: “I Play Whatever The Fuck I Want.”
