Bariş Bilsener[TR]

Baris Bilenser was born in 1983 and graduated from İstanbul Bilgi University’s Faculty of Communication. He brought the city magazine ZERO from Italy to Istanbul in 2009. Later, in 2010, he launched It's Istanbul, a cultural communication agency that devoted itself to organizing cultural events and exhibitions in areas that were either deserted or hardly ever used.

Since 2009 Zero İstanbul has worked as a platform with a focus on İstanbul's cultural transformation. It prints around 28,000 copies each month, making it Istanbul's most-read print magazine. It has been guiding the young, informed population of the city on cultural, musical and night life for eight years. The website also works as a multi-layered platform which observes the city in a more detailed fashion through various perspectives. It has an average of 100,000 visitors monthly.

It's agency quickly became an authority for urban culture in the city. It brought festivals such as Bicycle Film Festival and Club to Club to Istanbul and extended its operations in the city from print/digital media to forward-thinking events based on experiences.

Barış is currently working on expanding his idea of a city-based magazine to an international community through using his vast experience in İstanbul as a cultural bridge between Europe and the Middle East.
