SHAPE @ CTM Festival

SHAPE presented its fifth year at CTM 2019. The initiative has been supporting the annual Network Speed Dating event, the MusicMakers Hacklab, and a series of SHAPE artist performances and talks within the festival programme.

CTM 2019 featured performances by a wealth of different SHAPE-supported artists over its ten-day schedule of events. DJ AZF is known as one of the most exciting names in French techno; Erwan Keravec is the Breton piper who fuses folk bagpipe traditions with contemporary music; Lucy Railton bridges electroacoustic and modern classical music through cello experimentation; Maria W Horn, the Swedish composer, distorts time and space through sonic extremes; Sentimental Rave's DJ sets weave together gabber, hard techno, and acerbic rave sounds; Schtum is the duo stretching abrasive sounds to latent breaking points.
