We're excited to partner with the wonderful Berlin Community Radio in order to extend festival coverage outside of the venues of our 19th edition. Several members of their crew will help kick off the festival tomorrow night with DJ sets at the CTM exhibition opening. Aside from also broadcasting a selection of recordings from the festival's music and discourse programme, BCR has organised daily live shows featuring CTM 2018 artists. The series starts tomorrow at 15:00 with special guest Celestial Trax and continues on Tuesday with Jessica Ekomane. Check out the full broadcast schedule for more info!

For this year's Hacklab, we invite participants to invent collaborative performances that embrace the chaos, strangeness, and cultural anxiety surrounding the theme of AI, echoing the titular TURMOIL of this year's CTM festival. We want coders and technologists to apply, but also people from across artistic and research backgrounds, from musicians to poets to psychologists – anyone interested in how humans, machines, and hybrids might perform together. We’re looking primarily not for existing work, but for new ideas to be created on the spot, in spontaneous collaboration with others. Apply by 30 November!

We're excited to release the second wave of artists and projects confirmed for CTM 2018 Turmoil. Through 10 days of special projects, commissioned works, performances ranging from extreme noise explorations to contemporary club sounds, an exhibition, and an intensive daytime programme, this 19th edition explores the state of music and sound practice in the face of a confusing and critical present. New highlights include: a special Turmoil DJ set by Boys Noize; George Lewis & Roscoe Mitchell performing with Voyager; punk and hardcore sounds from the likes of Cuntroaches, Hanin Elias, NAKED or NAH; additions to the gabber/hardcore showcase at Berghain including Marc Acardipane, Kilbourne, and HAJ300; appearances by JASSS, Nihiloxica, Hyph11e & many more.
