Running Thursday 29.1. through Sunday 1.2., "Ilinx" plays with the power of disorientation through light and sound via sensory substitution. By temporarily disrupting the viewer’s perception, the installation opens up spaces for new experiences that extend past the body’s senses into new realms of experience. Reservations required!

From artist talks with Emptyset and Chris Salter, to a final instrumentarium event at the end of the day, today's Alien Agency explores the broad question of "How do new things emerge into the world and what do they do?"
The first of two collaborative concerts features a new collaboration between shape-shifter Atom™ (aka. Uwe Schmidt, Atom Heart, Señor Coconut) and Australian intermedia artist Robin Fox in a powerful three-dimensional assault of sound and vision. This evening also features the world premiere of "SINN + FORM", a new project by Raster Noton’s Frank Bretschneider and Pierce Warnecke, which explores the limits of man’s constant attempts to capture and control the world through description and prediction.

Joined by Lydia Ainsworth, the evening's programme presents three idiosyncratic voices in electronic chamber pop with penchants for the baroque and the larger-than-life.
Sarah Farina also brings her Through my Speakers collective, and a contingent of Polish artists are presented within the 3-room programme.

This afternoon at HAU1, Emptyset perform the world premiere of "Signal", a radio-based performance working directly with ionospheric propagation as a live sonic sculptural process and compositional tool. Originally scheduled for 16h, the performance will take place one hour later, 17h, due to technical reasons. Tickets are sold out online, but a few remain available at the box office!
Co-hosted with RBMA, the Finale wraps up 10 relentless festival days on a high note with Carter Tutti Void, Nisennenmondai, Phoebe Kiddo, and the world premiere of a specially commissioned collaboration between Mumdance, Shapednoise, and Logos.
