The festival will feature a new extended listening format at Berlin’s new Betonhalle venue, a massive concrete space located underneath Silent Green, with a live rendition of Chernobyl by Hildur Gudnadottir with Sam Slater and Chris Watson, Deathprod supporting his first album in 15 years, and a long-duration 4 part meditation on death by Jacob Kirkegaard. Kamaal Williams and Bbymutha lead the festival’s concert and club programme, which also welcomes a live set by Dis Fig, the inimitable Aya fka LOFT, Discwoman affiliate Akua, winding techno rhythms of VTSS and Zamilska, julienned drum breaks of Aquarian & more. Open calls for the MusicMakers Hacklab and Vorspiel 2020 are currently out, and a limited number of early-bird passes are now on sale.

For the upcoming Vorspiel 2020 edition, transmediale and CTM Festival will again collaborate with Berlin's network of project spaces, galleries, independent cultural actors, and cultural institutions in order to commonly create and present a distributed program of events created by the various initiatives, which are working in the field of digital art and culture as well as experimental sound and music. We are pleased to invite you to apply to take part in Vorspiel 2020. The call is open until November 4 2019.
