Two winning projects have been selected from an open call for the CTM 2019 Radio Lab. The organisers would like to thank everyone who took the time to submit their proposals, which totalled 175 entries from 43 countries, and collectively addressed the call’s themes and challenges from a wide and interesting array of perspectives. 

The Research Networking Day is an exchange platform for students and researchers from different European graduate and postgraduate programmes traversing the fields of audio, arts, media, design, and related theoretical disciplines. This open call seeks innovative and critical submissions from all areas of study addressing the scope of CTM 2019’s Persistence theme. We invite students and junior scholars to present their research at an international platform that provides a good opportunity to meet various colleagues and researchers working on related ideas.

We're excited to announce Nusasonic, a multi-year project that plunges into a broad spectrum of experimental sound and music cultures in Southeast Asia, and enabling dialogue within the region, with Europe, and beyond. Adopting a multi-perspective approach, the project is collaboratively created by Yes No Klub (Yogyakarta), WSK Festival of the Recently Possible (Manila), Playfreely/BlackKaji (Singapore), and CTM Festival, and supported by Goethe-Institut Indonesia. It kicks off 2–13 October 2018 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, with artists such as AGF, Caliph8 Cheryl Ong, Kok Siew Wai, Dangerdope, Erick Calilan & Duto Hardono, Fauxe, Gabber Modus Operandi, Jessica Ekomane, Jogja Noise Bomging, mobilegirl, Nadah el Shazly, N.M.O., Peter Kirn, Lintang Radittya, Andreas Siagian, Sote, Uwalmassa, Yennu Ariendra & J Mo’ong Santoso Pribadi &many more.

From 26–30 July, three new commissioned works featuring collaborations between European and Iranian artists, string of performances and workshops by Berlin-based and Iranian artists will take place under the SETxCTM umbrella. A close collaboration between Tehran's SET and Berlin's CTM, the event will feature new works by Rabih Beaini & Pouya Pour-Amin, 9T Antiope & Rainer Kohlberger, Sote & Tarik Barri, solo performances by Umchunga, mHZ, Rojin Sharafi, Temp-Illusion & Amir B. Ash, and Monolake, plus workshops and a panel discussion. The event dedicated entirely to artistic dialogue between Tehran and Berlin.
