FriLexachast, a collaboration between PAN label founder Bill Kouligas, futuristic sound design duo Amnesia Scanner and artist Harm van den Dorpel, will connect transmediale and CTM in a joint evening at Haus der Kulturen der Welt.
The mangled, dystopian soundtrack revolves around van den Dorpel’s generative, live-streaming visuals, based on algorithms to filter random, NSFW content from across the widest reaches of the internet. Often provocative, these visuals appear as surprises to even the performers, referencing our culpability and vulnerability at the feet of the internet’s torrential overkill of material.

Bill Kouligas[INT]
Bill Kouligas is a Berlin-based artist, designer and musician. As the founder of PAN, a multidisciplinary platform and record label which recalibrates perceptions of forward-thinking sound practices, he has curated and art-directed the label for almost ten years.
Amnesia Scanner[INT]
Despite an ever-growing international fan base, little is known about the “Xperienz Designer” duo Amnesia Scanner, which “hails from the anterior cortex of Berlin’s electronic hivemind” (Boomkat). They produced Mykki Blanco’s hit “Booty Bamboo” in late 2013, via which they established reputed ties with UNO NYC.
Harm van den Dorpel[NL/DE]
Harm van den Dorpel is a Dutch, Berlin-based conceptual artist with a background in artificial intelligence development. He is a key figure in the international post-internet art movement. Van den Dorpel is represented by Neumeister Bar-Am in Berlin and American Medium in New York.
