FriFrom pioneers to new adventurers, a range of hard-hitting artists will appear across a night at Berghain that echoes last year’s gabber infused Friday.
Paris-based crew Casual Gabberz amalgamate anything across the spectrum of happy hardcore, jumpstyle, trance, and more, fusing rave sounds with rap, Jersey club, and grime. Gabber Modus Operandi’s Kasimyn and Ican Harem share healthy obsessions with jathilan, gabber, dangdut koplo, Chicago footwork, grindcore, and noise, creating exuberant digital sarcasm and singular take on high-energy sounds. Nyege Nyege Tapes affiliates MCZO & Duke will be repping the vibrant singeli music scene of Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, with an energetic blend of rap and rapidfire beats. Putas Vampiras is part of Brazil’s celebrated Vampire Haus crew, who are known for spirited, inclusive, and accessible parties that feature hard, unyielding sounds. Sote, a driving force behind Tehran’s experimental music scene, will deliver a brand new blistering, decimating hardcore set. SHAPE platform supported artists will also appear: DJ AZF is on the rise as one of the most exciting names in French industrial techno, and Sentimental Rave who conjures the spirit of the golden age of rave.
Gabber Modus Operandi appear as part of Nusasonic, an initiative of Goethe-Institut Southeast Asia that is collaboratively curated by Yes No Wave (Yogyakarta), WSK Festival of the Recently Possible (Manila), Playfreely/Black Kaji (Singapore), and CTM Festival (Berlin). Sentimental Rave and DJ AZF are supported by SHAPE, which is funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.
Gabber Modus Operandi is an accidental project founded by Kasimyn and Ican Harem. Born out of a shared obsession for all sorts of high-octane, fast-paced sounds, they explode an extensive range of influences into vibrant, outrageous productions.

From Tanzania, MCZO & Duke provide another taste of blistering, fast-paced singeli music. Taking inspiration from Zanzibarian tarab, South African house, gabber, and much more, the duo gained visibility beyond their local scene through their high energy set at Nyege Nyege Festival, which was broadcast globally via Boiler Room.
Guaranteed to deliver both rave and romance is Sentimental Rave, the Parisian DJ whose sets charge through techno and gabber. The self-taught DJ, producer, and photographer’s work straddles vicious percussion, and an introspective sensitivity.
Putas Vampiras is the live solo project of Suzana Haddad, also half of Casal Belalugosi and an affiliate of Vampire Haus. Haddad is a pillar of São Paulo’s scene, and has been a driving force behind the explosion of the alternative electronic music scene. Her DIY approach is dedicated to fostering a resistant, inclusive scene.
