TueAn ice skating rink arrives at the gargantuan Halle am Berghain, soundtracked by an array of adventurous artists. Bring your skates (or rent a pair) and practice your ice dancing skills to eclectic and free-roaming DJ sets.
Raster provides the soundtrack, featuring Kyoka, Dasha Rush, Grischa Lichtenberger, Mieko Suzuki, and Robert Lippok. Warm up with a hot drink and watch the spectacle under an intimate light array courtesy of Berlin’s premier light artist Christopher Bauder, who contributes the intimate light installation FREQUENCIES. Using the live DJ sets as material, Bauder translates sound waves of different frequencies into a rapidly-changing colour palette composed of hundreds of pixels.
Please note: Ice skating at the Eishalle is undertaken at your own risk. Up to 40 people can skate simultaneously. Children under 16 must be accompanied by adults (no children under 3 allowed). Neither CTM / DISK Initiative Bild & Ton e.V. nor Berghain Ostgut GmbH are liable for any injuries. There will be no lockers on site, so please be considerate of what belongings you bring. You can rent skates for half an hour for 2 € or bring your own. The ice itself is synthetic, but please dress warmly.
From Tuesday the 29th to Friday the 1st, the ice rink will be cleared at 20:45. After 21:00, Eishalle can only be accessed through Berghain with a ticket to the music programme (18+ only and personal ice skates will not be allowed inside the main venue, but of course you can rent a pair during that time).
There will be a bar with hot and cold beverages (but better not to skate and drink!), and lastly, please be careful and considerate of one another!
No photos allowed in the Halle. Limited capacity; first come, first served.
