Wolfgang Kaleck is the founder and General Secretary of the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR) in Berlin. Together with partners around the world, ECCHR takes legal proceedings in cases of crimes against international law or related to business and human rights.
Kaleck is also the European lawyer of Whistleblower Edward Snowden. As an author, he has published Law versus Power (2018), Unternehmen vor Gericht (2016), Mit Recht gegen die Macht (2015), and Double Standards: International Criminal Law and the West (2015).
In recognition of his commitment, Kaleck the Bavarian Lawyer's Association (Bayerischer Anwaltverband) recently awarded the annual Max Friedlaender Prize to him in recognition of his "outstanding contributions to the law, the legal profession or society."
