Freak de l’Afrique is a team of DJs, MCs & producers who share a common passion for modern African club sounds such as afrobeats, afro-house, coupé décalé, and kuduro. Wallizz and DJ Nomi have created a unique set of club nights that focus on the current club sounds emerging from across Africa that re-define the club sound of Berlin.
After holding various club nights in Berlin such as Black Paper, The Afro House Experience, and Bantu’s Diary, Freak de l’Afrique began producing their own tracks, mixing afro-house with tinges of UK grime. Starting out with “Mama Eh,” the duo then released “Akom” on Man Recordings, which features remixes from Gafacci and DJ Satelite.
