Eartheater is the solo project of artist Alexandra Drewchin, and has released three full lengths since 2015 - most recently IRISIRI on PAN. Her music explores pop’s cloying sweetness and melodrama, weaving industrial and classical textures into demonstrations of her chimeric singing technique.

Drewchin is originally known for performing in Guardian Alien with percussionist Greg Fox (Liturgy, Zs, Ex-Eye), before breaking through as a solo artist with Eartheater. Her first two LPs, Metalepsis and RIP Chrysalis, released by Hausu Mountain in 2015, were borne from similarly psychedelic roots as Guardian Alien. The two intimate and haunting albums spill into gothic folk and experimental electronica.

IRISIRI was a significant leap forward for Eartheater, encapsulating a broader palette of textures that borrow from techno, baroque, and contemporary R&B, at times nestling together and at others set up in direct collision. The result is a dreamy, surreal collection, held together by Drewchin's unmistakable vocal delivery. Her live sets have recently been accompanied by harpist Marilu Donovan, and her performances have been staged in a variety of spaces, from art galleries to DIY rock venues.

As well as her solo work, Eartheater is a vital member of the New York experimental music scene. She starred in Raul de Nieves and Colin Self’s opera The Fool at The Kitchen in 2017; has also composed work for chamber ensemble Alarm Will Sound; and has worked with noise-rock group Show Me The Body, contributing vocals on their mixtape Corpus I.
