Schwefelgelb return to their hometown for their Berghain performance at CTM 2018. The German techno body music duo have released music on aufnahme + wiedergabe and Fleisch, and have performed everywhere from London to Tokyo.
Their music amalgamates the sounds of EBM, techno and electro. Since their first album Alt und neu, released in 2008, to their most recent release on Fleisch, Den Umgekehrten Atem, what remains constant is Sid and Eddy’s unrelenting pursuit of grimy, hard-hitting dance music. Den Umgekehrten Atem marks a return to early digital and wavetable synthesis, as well as a classic EBM sound. Dahinter Das Gesicht, also released in 2017, embodies their signature aggressive take on techno across four uncompromising tracks.
Their music has been played by the likes of Helena Hauff, Silent Servant and Tommy Four Seven.
Schwefelgelb are supported by the 2018 SHAPE platform, which is co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
