Nural Moser grew up as part of the first Middle Eastern, mixed raced generation in Vienna, Austria. Her father immigrated from Syria to Austria in the late 70s, while her mother was from Vienna.
Her parents met while working together at the women and feminist centre of the infamous squatted cultural venue WUK. Moser's practice originates in and is still inspired by the courage of her anti-authoritarian parents; their political engagements; and the many philosophical conversations she shared with her father about his Muslim past, his experiences as an illegal immigrant in the West, and his struggles with institutional authorities. Based between London and Berlin, she is constantly travelling between countries and realms. She considers herself global in identity, fluid in sexuality, and fights for a world without borders or ignorance.
